Kaie x Oltjikko : 40 Seconds

We live in a society where people spend more and more time indoors and online. Ironically as technology improves and urban modernization happens in more areas, people feels more isolated, stressed and unhappy.

Scientists are beginning to find evidence that being in nature has a profound impact on our brains and our behavior, helping us to reduce anxiety, stress, and increase our attention capacity, creativity, and our ability to connect with other people.

So how much green time do you need exactly? According to researchers at the University of Melbourne as little as 40 seconds in Nature Microbreaks will benefit your mental health and lead to a healthier, happier, and more creative lives.

In an effort to reintroduce the concept of appreciating nature, Kaie collaborated with Oltjikko to stage an installation that depicts the importance of nature in our daily life.

Kaie spirit are aimed to kick start a self-realization project in an attempt to promote kindness to oneself. Being kind is an important gesture but let’s not forget to start from the most important underlying element of an attempt to be grateful; the act of loving ourselves.

Through this landscape art installation, we invite everyone to pop their head inside the nature box to reset and recharge their mind from their everyday activities in an attempt to be kind to our overworked mind and release the stress.

Here are the steps:

Step 1. Place your head in the designated spot
Step 2. Take a peek and enjoy at the scene in front of you for
approximately 40 seconds
Step 3. Soak it up and retrieve yourself as your session expires.
